Adaptive Loop: Letting The Kiosk Choose

The alternative to a list you maintain. Instead of choosing videos yourself, the kiosk builds its own loop out of what shoppers have actually been scanning in that store — so a seasonal line works its own way in without you touching anything.

The settings are on Video Loops, under Adaptive Loop. They control how many videos the loop holds, how many scans a product needs before it earns a place, and how often the whole thing starts again.

Reset To Factory Settings puts those numbers back if you have changed them and want to start over. It also clears that kiosk's scan history, so the loop starts learning again.

For what it is actually doing with those scans — which places it may use, what earns one, and the order it ranks in — see how the adaptive loop works.

The Adaptive Loop panel with a How this works link beside its heading, settings for videos in the loop, the minimum scans needed, and how often it resets, plus a Reset To Factory Settings button.
The kiosk's own choice, from real scans.

Worth Knowing

  • A new store's adaptive loop starts nearly empty and fills as people scan. That is working, not broken.
  • It only uses videos you already have. A product with no video cannot enter the loop — that is the no-video list.
