Video Plays But There Is No Sound
Turn the television on first, then restart the kiosk — in that order.
A kiosk that starts up while the television is asleep can come up silent and stay silent until it is restarted, even after the television is switched on. Restarting it with the screen already awake is what fixes it.
Please tell us when this happens. We are fixing it so the order stops mattering, and knowing which stores have hit it tells us where to look.
Worth Knowing
- Check the television's own volume and mute first — it is the quicker of the two possibilities.
- Video playing normally with no sound is the signature. If the picture is wrong too, see a blank or frozen screen.
